Prepare a grave search
Write down the full name, dates of birth and death, and any existing documents. The most useful location reference is the section, row and grave number.
If the grave reference is missing
Contact the responsible cemetery district with the person’s details:

The official cemetery plan combines Roman-numbered and lettered sections, so copy the grave reference exactly as the administration provides it. If arriving on the U7, the eastern pedestrian and cycle entrances are useful; the northern access corridor is closer from the Theodor-Fischer-Weg bus stop and public car park.
The Italian military cemetery is a distinct 3.6-hectare section within Westhausen Cemetery. If the search concerns a war grave there, name that section explicitly; “Westhausen Cemetery” alone is too broad for practical orientation.
